1900 as a whole century is so wild to me like it started off without people having sliced bread and it ended with seinfeld on TV
Had both the first powered aircraft and the first man on the moon. Two world wars. Went from not knowing atoms had nuclei to the threat of nuclear annihilation. Projected hand-cranked film as a sideshow attraction to flatscreen TVs in the home. Buggies to cars. Radio to the Internet. 1.5 billion people to four times that. The world changed so rapidly in the 20th century that I’m not surprised the world is struggling to maintain itself.
